27/1/2020: Sudan Tribune - U.S. envoy, ministers discuss economic situation in Sudan  

Sudan Tribune reports that Donald Booth, the US Special Envoy for Sudan has discussed Sudan’s economic situation with the Sudanese ministers for Finance and mining – Ibrahim el-Badawi and Adel Ali Ibrahim respectively.

El-Badawi reportedly discussed with Booth the economic reforms and financial structural imbalances that the 2020 budget plans to address. El-Badawi also called on Booth to back efforts to remove obstacles preventing bank transfers between the US and Sudan.  

Adel Ali Ibrahim reportedly informed Booth of the reforms achieved in the energy and mining sector, as it attempts to eradicate fraud and corruption. He also reviewed investment opportunities in the sectors.
