2/12/2022: Sudan Tribune - “Democratic Bloc” rejects political settlement ending Sudan’s crisis

Sudan Tribune report that the Democratic Block faction of the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC-DB) rejects the framework agreement between the military and the Forces of Freedom and Change Central Council (FFC-CC).

The deputy head of the FFC-DB coalition, Justice and Equality Movement leader and finance minister Jibril Ibrahim, labelled the agreement “exclusionary…because it cannot lead to political stability, smooth transitional period or economic stability in the country”.

Ibrahim also criticised the role of the international community in facilitating the agreement, saying they violated Sudan’s national sovereignty by interfering in internal affairs.

FFC-DB political secretary Minni Minnawi, the governor of Darfur and a factional leader of the Sudan Liberation Movement, accused the military of only dealing his and Ibrahim’s armed movements while excluding other FFC-DB parties.
