2/12/2019: Sudan Tribune - Sudanese armed groups blame South Sudanese mediator for the second time

Sudan Tribune reports that several groups in the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) have once again publicly disagreed with Tut Kew Gatluak, the South Sudanese mediator for Sudan’s peace negotiations.

Gatluak sent a letter to the Sudanese government requesting the facilitation of a visit to Khartoum by  a rebel delegation led by Yasir Arman of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North.

However, five rebel leaders have denied that the Arman-led delegation is mandated to hold discussions in Khartoum. The leaders including: Minni Minawi, the leader of the largest faction of Sudanese Liberation Army, and Gibril Ibrahim, the leader of the Justice and Equality Movement.

The leaders said that Gatluak’s move represents an "interference" in the SRF internal affair. SRF groups in Darfur had previously blamed Gatluak for postponing the Juba peace talks to December 10.
